Hey Hey! sorry guys we couldn't update the blog after the first post. We took a while due to some reasons. No excuse though....

Anyways, well the other day I asked one of my friends how did he like the first post, for that he said, I could relate to what you said but you didn't mention anything about the donations and the ways of doing it. He suggested to ask people to donate, there's nothing wrong in asking people and directing them to donate. Well money thing is secondary for this NGO, because AID has enough funds but the important thing which is missing is the "existence" of AID organization. Many people aren't aware about something like AID exists. What we request all the readers is to "spread the word", this would do and donation will follow automatically. Remember, even a single drop counts. So don't bother much about the number you are going to contribute.

The Introduction

I know that today's generation wants to be the integral part of India's development but get confused how to do that. We do get inspired by watching the movies like "Rang De Basanthi" , "Chakde India" & "Swades", well at least I get inspired for a moment but then that josh thing lasts for an hour or two. And then I'm out of that josh. So we need someone to guide us.

Last night I was chatting with my friend Sravanthi. She is doing her MS in US, and she's president of Baton rouge (Louisiana) chapter, AID. So she told me about this NGO, Association for India's Development (AID), what all things they do to fund those in need and all. Well to be frank I didn't knew something like AID existed, even though it's more than a decade old organization. Not only me but I questioned couple of my friends do they knew about AID, on the sad note they too didn't knew that such an NGO existed. Anyways, I decided to join this organization and contribute whatever I can for the noble cause this NGO is committed to.

Association for India's Development (AID) is a volunteer movement committed to promoting sustainable, equitable and just development. In solidarity with non-violent people's struggles, AID supports grassroots organizations in India and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as education, livelihoods, natural resources, health, women's empowerment and social justice.
